Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Licensed Structural PE Engineer to support a company focused on complex industrial infrastructure, mechanical systems, and mission-critical facilities within the engineering and defense-support sectors. This position is on-site at Dallastown, PA. The Licensed Structural PE Engineer will provide structural engineering expertise for large-scale mechanical and facility-related projects while serving as a technical leader across engineering teams. This is a high-impact opportunity to influence critical infrastructure programs and guide multidisciplinary engineering efforts supporting complex operational environments.
Responsibilities for the Licensed Structural PE Engineer include:
- Provide structural engineering analysis, design review, and technical oversight for large mechanical structures and facility systems.
- Support engineering projects involving industrial, maritime, energy, and defense-related infrastructure.
- Serve as a matrixed technical leader by mentoring and guiding engineering personnel across multiple teams.
- Collaborate with senior engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders on project execution and design decisions.
- Conduct structural assessments and recommend solutions to ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and project requirements.
Required Qualifications for the Licensed Structural PE Engineer include:
- 10+ years of experience in structural engineering supporting large-scale mechanical, industrial, maritime, or energy-related structures.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license with a structural engineering emphasis in the State of South Carolina.
- Experience performing structural analysis, design, and evaluation of complex mechanical support structures.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and technical mentoring skills in a matrixed environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering with a structural focus, or a related engineering discipline.
Preferred Qualifications for the Licensed Structural PE Engineer include:
- Experience supporting shipbuilding, naval, maritime, or shipping-related structures.
- Experience supporting power generation facilities or power plant infrastructure.
- Experience supporting defense contractors, military installations, or government infrastructure programs.
- Experience leading technical efforts without direct personnel management responsibilities.
Compensation for the Licensed Structural PE Engineer includes:
- Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 depending on experience
