Business Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Business Analyst to support the ongoing enhancement and delivery of a growing healthcare technology organization. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, product teams, and engineering leadership to refine requirements, manage priorities, and help drive successful software releases in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Responsibilities of the Business Analyst:

• Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and development teams to gather, refine, and document requirements for new product features and enhancements.

• Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring backlog items meet standards and are prioritized appropriately.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Track team capacity, velocity, and sprint progress while proactively identifying and escalating blockers impacting delivery timelines.

• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and operations teams to ensure successful testing, release planning, deployment, and transition of new functionality into production.

• Support monthly software releases by coordinating feature readiness, validating requirements, and ensuring alignment with quarterly objectives.

Qualifications of the Business Analyst:

• 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role supporting software development teams.

• Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum environments, including writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.

• Ability to work effectively with technical, business, and clinical stakeholders while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience gathering requirements for APIs, web services, or system integrations; familiarity with REST APIs preferred.

• Exposure to testing tools such as Postman and experience reviewing test plans or validating business requirements.

• Experience with Jira, Figma, Balsamiq, Microsoft Azure, or related tools is a plus.

Compensation for the Business Analyst includes:

• Pay Range: $43-$50 per hour (depending on experience)

• Primarily remote work environment with limited onsite meetings throughout the year
