Medical Publication Writer - Medical Devices - 174547

Piper Companies is seeking a Medical Publication Writer to support a growing client in the medical device industry in the United States. The Medical Publication Writer role is fully remote and will be a part-time contract engagement lasting approximately 3-6 months on an as-needed basis. The Medical Publication Writer role is ideal for an experienced scientific communications professional with a strong background in medical device publications, manuscript development, and scientific dissemination.

Responsibilities of the Medical Publication Writer include:

• Draft, edit, and finalize scientific manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and related publication materials utilizing clinical and scientific data.

• Collaborate with physicians, researchers, and internal teams to accurately communicate medical device research findings.

• Support publication planning initiatives and ensure deliverables are completed according to journal and conference deadlines.

• Address author, reviewer, and stakeholder feedback while managing revisions throughout the publication lifecycle.

• Maintain compliance with industry standards, publication ethics, and scientific communication best practices.

Requirements of the Medical Publication Writer include:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree, PhD, PharmD, MD, or other advanced scientific degree preferred.

• 3+ years of medical writing or publication writing experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.

• Proven experience developing manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and peer-reviewed scientific publications.

• CMPP (Certified Medical Publication Professional) certification preferred.

• Strong understanding of publication guidelines, scientific writing standards, and the publication submission process.

Compensation for the Medical Publication Writer include:
