Piper Companies is currently looking for an experienced Metrology/Quality Technician in Buffalo, New York (NY) to work for an innovative and growing global manufacturer. The Metrology/Quality Technician will play a significant role ensuring that the medical device products meet the required high standards and specifications.
Responsibilities for the Metrology/Quality Technician include:
· Examining, inspecting materials and products using various measurement tools and techniques.
· Completes First Article Inspection activities.
· Completes Final Product Verification and Audit Release functions.
· Participates in compliance third party, customer, process, and internal audits.
· Resolve problems related to supplier performance through coordination of internal activities and interface (including on-site visits) with suppliers, as required.
Qualifications for the Metrology/Quality Technician include:
· Exp/ability to demonstrate use of various measurement gauges: (CMM, Optical comparator, micrometer, caliper, height gauge, Oscilloscope etc)
· Exp in interacting with suppliers of optical components and machined parts
· Exp with MS Word, Excel, MS Access, ERP systems, EQMS (Compliant plus) and Calibration databases
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
· Associate degree in a technical discipline with at least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing environment, preferably in Quality Inspection.
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the manufacturing environment, preferably in a quality inspection position.
Compensation for the Metrology/Quality Technician include:
· Starting Salary is $51,688 + Eligible for O.T
