Cable Technician - 174486 - 174486

Piper Companies is looking for a Cable Technician to join a design-build and systems integration firm based out of Kermit, TX. This is a contract role with the opportunity to start ASAP and accrue over time hours. This role requires the candidate to report onsite in Kermit, TX.

 Essential Duties of the Cable Technician:

• Interprets blueprints and understands full project/task scope
• Tracks material and tool inventory on-site
• Performs quality installations per industry/manufacturer standards
• Builds and installs telecom room components (racks, ladder rack, grounding, bonding)
• Installs devices such as card readers, cameras, and WAPs

Qualifications of the Cable Technician:

• 0-2+ years experience in a cable technician role
• General telecom, fiber optics and cable termination experience is required
• Candidates must provide their own PPE
• OSHA 10 Certification required before starting

 Compensation for the Cable Technician:

• $18-20/hr+ (based on experience)
