MRI Technologist

Piper Companies is currently searching for a MRI Technologist to work as a full-time employee for one of the largest healthcare providers in the Raleigh, NC area.

You will have the opportunity to run MRI Scanners which includes scanner, post processing stations/programs, IV contrast injectors, O2 and suction equipment, patient transport and patient monitoring equipment.

Responsibilities

·       Identify and prepare patients for procedures with explanation and documentation.

·       Gathers medical history by speaking with patients, review in-patients, ER, and outpatients EMR.

·       Supply and administer IV contrast according to department protocols while providing essential patient care.

·       Complete MRI scanning while practicing sterile technique.

·       Practice proper radiation safety for self, coworkers, and patients.

·       Maintain radiology computer system including entering orders and charging procedures/supplies.

Physical Requirements

·       Mid to heavy physical efforts in moving patients, equipment, and supplies.

·       Walking, standing, and sitting during operations.

·       Adhere to radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure to radiation.

Education and Experience

·       Degree from two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or enrollment in ARMRIT or ARRT program.

·       CPR certification required.

Compensation

·       $62,000 - 103,000 based on relevant experience
