Sr. security Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Cloud Security Engineer to join a leading cybersecurity organization. The Sr. Cloud Security Engineer will design and implement security tooling solutions and engage in developing client cloud and security strategies.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Cloud Security Engineer include:

• Collaborate with engineering team to provide unique engineering solutions
• Serve as cloud SME to clients within design, architecture, and deployment engagements in AWS, Azure, or GCP space using automated orchestration and configuration management techniques
• Design and implement security tooling solutions like Tenable, Trend Micro, AquaSec, Microsoft defender, Burp Suite and others
• Develop client cloud and security strategies, vision-state architectures, and roadmaps
• Engage in designing and implementing secure and compliant enterprise servers, network infrastructure, boundary protection, and cloud architectures using Infrastructure-as-code
• Engage in security assessment and authorization process and peer review detailed design documentation

Qualifications for the Sr. Cloud Security Engineer include:                                                                                            

• 3+ years of systems engineering and architecture experience including requirements definition, architecture development, development of use cases and stories, and systems integration & test
• 3+ years of cloud architecture, design, implementation, operations, and automation experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-code and orchestration/automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP platform capabilities and services
• Experience working in technical teams in an Agile environment
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• BS or above in a related Information Technology field or equivalent experience.

Compensation for the Sr. Cloud Security Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $110,000 – $150,000
