Junior Site Reliability Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Junior Site Reliability Engineer to join a leading global cybersecurity organization. The Junior Site Reliability Engineer will drive customer deployment projects, and process initiatives, and partner with IT on systems and infrastructure processes.

Responsibilities of the Junior Site Reliability Engineer include:

• Become part of a collaborative engineering team that specializes in Cloud Infrastructure Administration, Site Reliability Engineering, Security Operations, and Vulnerability Management.
• Work with client product teams, engineers, and stakeholders to maintain a secure and resilient cloud-hosted infrastructure in line with SLAs.
• Innovate and implement automated orchestration and configuration management techniques.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automated orchestration codebases.
• Upgrade client environments with CI/CD infrastructure code and provide feedback to development teams.
• Operate across AWS, Azure, and GCP, utilizing their unique native services.
• Configure, tune, and troubleshoot cloud-based tools; manage cost, security, and compliance.
• Monitor and resolve site stability and performance issues.
• Provide 24x7x365 support through client ticketing systems.

Qualifications for the Junior Site Reliability Engineer include:                                                                        

• 2+ years of experience in 24x7x365 production operations.
• Fundamental understanding of networking and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server in a production environment.
• Experience with cloud operations and automation in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code and tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with IaaS platforms and services; cloud certifications are a plus.
• Experience with ticketing tools like Jira and ServiceNow.
• Experience with environmental analytics tools such as Splunk and Elastic Stack.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• BS or above in Information Technology or equivalent experience

Compensation for the Junior Site Reliability Engineer:

• Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000
