Software Engineer

 Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineer for an award-winning world leading technology organization in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. The Software Engineer will work a hybrid schedule working onsite Tuesday and Thursday and remote the remainder of the days. The Software Engineer will play a key role in developing new products related to security.

Responsibilities for the Software Engineer include:

·       Design, develop, and implement quality software solutions

·       Work on multiple projects at a time and prioritize tasks accordingly

·       Participate in an Agile Scrum Team, understand sprints, and the importance of code testing

·       Collaborate effectively with fellow scrum team members

·       Deliver code with a focus on scale, performance, security, and reliability

·       Participate in code reviews

Requirements for the Software Engineer include: 

·       Over 3 years of professional software development experience

·       Open to working with multiple programming languages

·       Skilled in one or more of the following: Python, C, C++, Java

·       Foundational networking and security knowledge

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and/or relevant work experience

Compensation of the Software Engineer: $100,000 -$125,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package
