Scientist

Piper Companies is looking for a Scientist to join a leading pharmaceutical solutions company for an onsite role based in Lynwood, California.

Responsibilities for the Scientist:

·       Analyze finish good products and raw materials on HPLC, GC, FTIR, and Titrations (visual and potentiometric)

·       Qualify Raw Materials by compendial testing procedures

·       Perform testing on raw material, in-process, and finished good samples when applicable

·       Conduct analytical method validation/verification/transfer from clients or R&D to QC when applicable

·       Document all data in corresponding laboratory notebook and file documentation according to approved SOP and data integrity guidelines

Qualifications for the Scientist:

·       4 to 8 years of pharmaceutical experience or equivalent of education and experience

·       Advanced skills in HPLC and GC required

·       Advanced level of Chromatography Data Software (CDS), preferably Empower 3

·       Comprehension of regulated guidance (WHO, FCC, FDA, and ICH)

·       Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related scientific discipline (master’s degree preferred)

Compensation for the Scientist:

·       $78,000 to $90,000 commensurate on experience
