Sr. Software Engineer - Distributed Systems (AWS Lambda)

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer – Distributed Systems (AWS Lambda) for a start up company. The Sr. Software Engineer - Distributed Systems (AWS Lambda) will join a small team building a greenfield product. A successful candidate for the Sr. Software Engineer - Distributed Systems (AWS Lambda) will possess systems experience running on AWS at scale.

Responsibilities for the Sr. Software Engineer – Distributed Systems (AWS Lambda) include:

·       Design, develop, and implement highly scalable secure software solutions 

·       Evaluate current technologies, concepts, designs, and provide new recommendations

·       Collaborate closely with team members in an agile environment to ensure project initiatives align with strategy

·       Ensure code is easily maintainable and deployable

·       Contribute to architectural discussions and provide overall strategy

Requirements for the Sr. Software Engineer – Distributed Systems (AWS Lambda) include:

·       Over 4 years of professional software engineering experience

·       Distributed systems experience

·       AWS Lambda experience

·       Python or Rust experience preferred

·       Knowledge of architectural best practices and design

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or relevant work experience

Compensation of the Sr. Software Engineer – Distributed Systems (AWS Lambda): $140,000 - $215,0000 plus a comprehensive benefits package
