Integration QA Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking the Integration QA Engineer to join an established Healthcare organization located in Maryland for a contract to hire opportunity. This position is REMOTE. The Integration QA Engineer will ensure that ensures the accuracy and quality of developed code through thorough testing before it is released to production.

Responsibilities of the Integration QA Engineer:

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated testing scripts using open-source tools.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, and documentation for new interfaces within a sprint.
• Ensure that test documentation is suitable for Change Control and that critical features will function in production.
• Continuously improve testing efficiency by evaluating testing libraries, setting up test patients, and identifying automation opportunities.
• Perform end-to-end data flow validation for various healthcare standards.
• Troubleshoot, identify root causes of issues, and document them for resolution. 

Qualifications the Integration QA Engineer:

• 2 to 4 years of Healthcare Integrations experience, required.
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences; customer service-focused.
• Strong understanding of healthcare standards such as HL7 V2, HL7 CCDA, HL7 FHIR, and IHE ITI transactions.
• Ability to evaluate and solve complex problems and issues.
• Experience with Javascript, XML, Mirth Connect, HL7 Interfaces, and FHIR resources, required.
• Healthcare IT experience, required.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or information systems, preferred.

Compensation of the Integration QA Engineer:

• Target Converted Salary: $80,000-$95,000 ***depending on experience***
