Network Architect

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Architect to join an established Biotechnology company located in Philadelphia, PA for a long term contract opportunity. The Network Architect will design and implement secure, scalable network solutions.

Responsibilities of the Network Architect:

• Design and implement network architectures, including LANs, WANs, and VPNs.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on SonicWall firewalls and other security devices.
• Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• Monitor and optimize network performance, troubleshooting issues as needed.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate new technologies and upgrade network components.
• Provide guidance and technical leadership in network-related projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network security.

Qualifications of the Network Architect:

• 5+ years of experience as a Network Architect or similar role.
• Expert knowledge of SonicWall firewalls and other firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto).
• Proven experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP, SonicWall CSSA) are highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Compensation for the Network Architect:

Hourly Rate: $100-110 per hour ***Depending on Experience***
