Senior Network Engineer

Piper Companies is looking for a Senior Network Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity with a healthcare/hospital system in Hershey, PA. This is an on-site role with some local travel required.

Responsibilities for the Sr. Network Engineer:

• Support an ongoing, enterprise-wide network segmentation/upgrade project
• Lead the design and implementation of network upgrades, including configuring and deploying Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls to enhance network performance, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and Optimize Network Performance: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues during the upgrade process, utilizing advanced Cisco tools and protocols to ensure minimal downtime and optimal network performance throughout the transition.
• Travel to other local sites when needed for hands-on support

Qualifications for the Sr. Network Engineer:

• Must have experience with the following technologies:
  • Cisco experience – generalist
  • Data center ACI
  •  Citrix NetScaler
    • DHCP/DNS
  •  Cisco ICE for Security, Cisco AnyConnect
  •  Catalyst 3850 switches
  •  VXLAN – network virtualization
• Healthcare experience is a plus
• Certifications are a plus – CCNP ideal

Compensation for the Sr. Network Engineer:

• $60-$65 per hour pay rate
