Research Associate

Piper Health & Sciences is actively hiring for several full-time Research Associate roles with a cancer research organization in the Frederick, MD area. The Research Associates will be supporting immunological and oncological research and testing.

Responsibilities for the Research Associate include:

·       Independently and collaboratively execute experiments and analyze results.

·       Perform bioanalytical and immunological testing such as ELISA, MSD (V-plex, R-plex, U-plex), and enzyme kinetic assays.  

·       Utilize techniques such as dilutions and pipetting, perform calculations and spike/recovery assessments using Excel.

·       Perform biomaterial (serum, plasma, CSF, urine) reagent aliquoting and instrument troubleshooting/calibration tests.

·       Verify accuracy of results by performing QC analyses with Softmax and/or Workbench.

·       Assist with assay optimization and implementation of new technologies.

·       Draft and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring proper Good Documentation Practices (GDP) are adhered to.

Qualifications for the Research Associate include:

·       2+ years of relevant laboratory experience operating under GxP guidelines.

·       Prior experience with MSD, ELISA, Luminex, and/or AlphaLisa is preferred.

·       Proficiency using single-channel and multi-channel pipetting techniques.

·       Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) is required.

Compensation for the Research Associate includes:

·       Salary Range: approximately $55,000 - $72,000 annually, commensurate with experience
