Hardware Design Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer who is passionate about developing cutting-edge hardware solutions that drive the future of technology. The ideal Hardware Design Engineer is an expert in schematic design, PCB layout and hardware debugging. This role sits onsite in Morrisville, NC.

Responsibilities for the Hardware Design Engineer:

• Design and develop hardware schematics and PCB layouts.
• Perform hardware debugging and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with software and firmware engineers to ensure seamless integrations of hardware and software components.
• Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to improve hardware designs.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for hardware designs and processes.

Qualifications for the Hardware Design Engineer:

• 6+ years' experience in hardware design, including schematic design and PCB layout.
• Strong knowledge of hardware debugging and troubleshooting techniques
• Proficiency with hardware design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD or similar
• Familiarity with FPGA design and programming
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder and work onsite in Morrisville, NC

Compensation/Benefits for the Hardware Design Engineer:

• Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000
