Database Engineer

Piper Enterprise Solutions is currently looking for a Database Engineer to work for a large infrastructure team in Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities for the Database Engineer include:

·       Gives technical expertise for database architecture, design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis.

·        Analyze the application tier through the database, down to the storage.

·       Give recommendations on new database and data recovery procedures.

·       Troubleshoot & resolve issues with database, performance bottlenecks, corruption and query optimization.

·       Enhance existing ETL processes to support BI and data warehousing or create new.

Qualifications for the Database Engineer include:

·       Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.

·       Database architecture/design/implementation experience.

·       Experience with MSSQL 2016-2019

·       Software Development Lifecycle, Project Management Lifecycle, IT Service Management support experience.

·       Proficient in Microsoft BI, Microsoft SQL data protection platforms, server and storage hardware, and working with large datasets.

·       Bachelors Degree preferred.

Compensation for the Database Engineer includes:

·       Salary Range: $ 125,000-$140,000 DOE

·       Contract to hire
