Boiler Technician (Biotechnology)

Piper Companies is searching for an experienced Boiler Technician to join a company that is revolutionizing the food industry through the development and commercialization of cultivated meat products. The Boiler Technician will contribute to the operation and maintenance of various facility-related systems and equipment at a new manufacturing plant in Wilson, NC including Boilers, Air Compressors, wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), and building maintenance.

Responsibilities of the Boiler Technician:

· Assist with the operation and maintenance of boiler systems, including DA Tank and water softeners, operation and maintenance of Air Compressors and Air Dryers and operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant to ensure proper operation

· General building maintenance and repairs, including electrical, plumbing, & structural components

· Perform safety audits

Qualifications of the Boiler Technician:

· 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance; food manufacturing or biotechnology environment preferred

· Experience performing quality work and developing expertise with a variety of systems such as natural gas boiler systems, Water Softeners, industrial air compressors, Air Dryers, wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), plumbing, and general building maintenance

· Ability to obtain Industrial Lift Operator certificate

· OSHA 10 (preferred)

Compensation of the Boiler Technician:

·  Salary: $30/hr - $35/hr based on experience
