Healthcare Integration Automation Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Data Automation Engineer to join a leading healthcare information organization in Maryland. This is a fully REMOTE, contract-to-hire opportunity (EST preferred). The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing automation scripts to improve data exchange in a regulated environment. Experience in healthcare integrations (HIE) is required for this role.

Responsibilities of the Automation Engineer include:

• Build and execute automation scripts to automate engineering tasks using Python or JavaScript.
• Set up interfaces and find areas to automate tasks to increase efficiency.
• Utilize best practices and proper security measures to ensure successful integrations and inter-system operations.

Qualifications of the Automation Engineer include:

• 2+ years of experience in healthcare technology and healthcare integrations, electronic healthcare information exchange.
• Knowledgeable in Mirth Connect, HL7 required
• Understanding of data encryption, including VPN and TLS connections.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automation scripts using JavaScript or Python.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or information systems, preferred.

Compensation/Benefits for the Automation Engineer include:

• Target Conversion Salary: $90,000-$110,000 annually
