Quality Assurance Manager

Piper Companies is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for a company that is an innovative start-up revolutionizing the food industry by leveraging cutting-edge biotechnology through the development and commercialization of cultivated meat products. Being the first of it's kind in the entire world to launch! The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating quality assurance collaborating with quality control. they near the completion of a new plant and prepare for commercialization. This is a fully onsite position Monday-Friday in Wilson, North Carolina.

 Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Manager:

• Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure product safety, consistency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Lead implementation and improvement quality management supporting digital platforms
• Establish and maintain food safety and quality processes and plans throughout the cultivated meat production process, from cell culture to final product packaging (Investigations, corrective actions, and change management)
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing facility to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Point of contact with external vendors for specialize QA services and repairs.
• Respond to quality and safety-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.

Qualifications of the Quality Assurance Manager:

• BS in food science, biology, microbiology, or a related field, advanced degree preferred
• 4+ years of experience in QA in food production, brewing, or pharmaceutical industry
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations, including HACCP, FSMA, and GMPs.
• Current HACCP and PCQI certification

 Compensation for the Quality Assurance Manager:

• Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000 depending on years of experience, 10 % bonus
