Piper Companies is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to join a leading healthcare organization for a 100% REMOTE, contract to hire role, preference is for candidates in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware.
Responsibilities for the Linux Systems Administrator:
- Deploy and maintain Linux-based operating systems
- Administer and manage RedHat Linux systems
- Configure and support web technologies such as Apache and Tomcat
- Install, configure, and maintain databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
- Configure system-level networking and firewalls
- Manage and support Active Directory integrations
- Troubleshoot system issues and ensure optimal performance
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for systems and processes
- Automate tasks and workflows using scripting tools
Qualifications for the Linux Systems Administrator:
- Strong Linux systems administration experience (preferably RedHat)
- Basic networking experience, including firewall configurations
- Experience with web technologies (Apache, Tomcat)
- Familiarity with databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
- Active Directory experience
- Proficiency in scripting for automation
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management, exposure to Azure preferred
Compensation for the Linux Systems Administrator:
- Annual salary: $80,000 - $85,000 conversion salary
- Contract to hire opportunity
- 100% remote
