Piper Companies is hiring for an Senior Embedded Software Engineer for a small solutions company located in Raleigh, NC. The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and reviewing software at the Kernal/driver level as well as application layer in the Yocto build system. The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will need to sit on site in Raleigh, NC 3 days per week.
Responsibilities of the Senior Embedded Software Engineer:
- Assist in leading projects and mentoring junior engineers
- Interact with internal teams, as well as external clients
- Design, develop and review software for interacting with wireless devices
Requirements for the Senior Embedded Software Engineer:
- 7+ years of experience in Software Development, Embedded preferred
- Knowledge of embedded Linux U-Boot and debugging boot problems
- Strong knowledge and understanding of C and or C++
- Experience with writing software for interacting with wireless devices (cellular, BLE, WiFi, LoRa, etc)
- Experience with python or other scripting languages for automation
Compensation for the Senior Embedded Software Engineer:
- $100,000 - $160,000 Depending on Experience
