Systems Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking an Systems Engineer for a world leading technology organization in RTP, NC area for an Onsite role. 

Responsibilities for the Systems Engineer

·       Securing compliance with NISPOM and ICD guidelines

·       Assist in the creation and manage of System Security Plans (SSP)

·       Plan of Action and Milestone (PO&AM) documentation

·       Assisting with the accreditation process of the systems.

Requirements for the Systems Engineer

·       U.S. citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and Counterintelligence Polygraph.

·       Proficient in network setups (Routers, Switches, Firewalls), Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, and Linux systems.

·       Experience with VMware's vSphere suite and cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Google.

·       in contracts requiring DIACAP, NISPOM, ICD, and DoD 8570 certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CISA).

·       Experience with system patching, vulnerability remediation, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, and centralized logging tools like Splunk.

·       Ability to work in dynamic, changing environments, independently or within a team.

·       Knowledge of COMSEC, encryption, and experience with Jira administration.

·       Salary $125,000 - $140,000
