Piper Companies is seeking a Network Architect to join an established biotech company in Pennsylvania. This role is mostly REMOTE with occasional on-site visits in Philadelphia, PA (candidates must be within a commutable distance). It is a 3-month contract with potential to extend.
Responsibilities of the Network Architect:
- Design and develop complex network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and cloud-based systems.
- Conduct network performance evaluations and optimize infrastructure for scalability and efficiency.
- Implement network security measures to protect against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to align network architecture with organizational goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
Qualifications of the Network Architect:
- Proven experience in network architecture and design, including working with routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Extensive knowledge in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Experience in cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Must have SonicWall experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or similar)
Compensation for the Network Architect:
- Hourly Rate: $100-110 per hour ***Depending on Experience***
