Piper Companies is looking for an Epidemiologist to join an organization supporting medical research located in Fort Novosel, AL. The Epidemiologist will conduct research describing injury hazards and develop interventions to prevent injury.
Responsibilities of the Epidemiologist include:
- Provide data analysis and management services related to injury biomechanics, data acquisition, and injury epidemiology
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and reproducibility of data by managing data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Collaborate with research teams to plan and execute scientific studies, including statistical and injury data analysis
- Work independently as an Associate Investigator or potentially a Principal Investigator, addressing analytic and technical problems
- Develop research proposals, protocols, and reports, contributing to injury prevention and biomechanical studies
Qualifications for the Epidemiologist include:
- 3+ years of experience in biomedical engineering or clinical research
- Knowledge of statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) and best practices for data analysis and project management
- Experience conducting injury analysis (spinal injuries and rotary winged injuries)
- Master's Degree or PhD in data analysis
- *Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance*
Compensation for the Epidemiologist includes:
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $102,000 **depending on experience**
