Accounts Payable Specialist

Piper Companies is hiring for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join an entertainment technology organization located in Durham, NC. This role will be onsite 5 days a week with potential to be hybrid after the first 60 days. 

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

·       Reviewing vendor invoices and supporting documentation to ensure proper approvals

·       Assisting with the administration of accounts payable functions; including the determination of general ledger codes and job cost codes of accounts payable invoices

·       Processing weekly check runs including the printing and mailing of checks, and subsequent filing of paid invoices

·       Entering vendor invoices into Sage accounting software

Requirements of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

·       2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.

·       Thorough understanding of Sage accounting software

·       Exceptional attention detail

·       Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting

·       Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Outstanding communication skills.

Compensation for the Accounts Payable Specialist: 

·       Salary Range: $19/hour - $22/hour depending on professional experience
