Piper Companies is looking for a Kinesiologist to join an organization supporting medical research located in Fort Novosel, AL. The Kinesiologist will support projects focused on human injury through human performance, endurance, fatigue, and pre-injurious biomarkers from the field of kinesiology.
Responsibilities of the Kinesiologist include:
- Assist with scientific and administrative tasks to support the Injury Biomechanics and Protection Group’s objectives, particularly research into human performance, fatigue, endurance, and injury biomarkers
- Support and lead laboratory and off-site field studies, including study preparation, data collection, and study execution
- Participate in technical planning sessions and program reviews, assisting in the absence of the Project Principal Investigator (PI)
- Contribute to project planning, documentation, and equipment readiness, ensuring adherence to research protocols and test plans
Qualifications for the Kinesiologist include:
- 2+ years of experience in biomedical engineering or clinical research
- Knowledge of biomechanics, mathematics, and scientific programming, with proficiency in MATLAB
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., kinesiology, exercise science, electrical, biomedical, mechanical, biomechanics, or physics
Compensation for the Kinesiologist includes:
- Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 **depending on experience**
