Core Technician - 174482

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Core Technician to support a mission-critical communications infrastructure in Washington, D.C. This onsite position is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Motorola P25 radio systems that support secure federal operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Motorola Land Mobile Radio (LMR) technologies and a proven ability to support critical communications environments.

Responsibilities of the Core Technician:

• Install, configure, and maintain Motorola P25 radio infrastructure and associated communications equipment.
• Build, stage, test, and deploy radio site packages for operational and customer requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance on radio sites to ensure system reliability and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve radio infrastructure issues at customer and field locations.
• Prepare communications equipment for planned events, special operations, and emergency response deployments.
• Conduct system testing, diagnostics, and performance validation activities.
• Document maintenance procedures, deployment activities, and technical findings

Qualifications of the Core Technician:

• Possess 3+ years of experience troubleshooting Motorola Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience supporting Motorola P25 radio infrastructure.
• Maintain a strong understanding of RF communications and radio network operations.
• Exhibit experience with radio site deployment, maintenance, and operational support.
• Communicate effectively with technical teams, customers, and mission stakeholders.
• Be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Compensation for the Core Technician:

• Salary Range: $100,000+ *flexible based on experience*
