Systems Engineer

Piper Companies is currently searching for a Systems Engineer to work on a Hybrid Schedule in Columbia, MD for a company in the health and services space. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure technologies and services.

Responsibilities for the Systems Engineer include:

·       Design, implement, and maintain Maxim’s IT infrastructure technologies and services in collaboration with other Systems Engineers and Solution Architects.

·       Act as Third Tier support within the Enterprise Operations group to resolve production incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and develop KBAs for further cases.

·       Provide advanced guidance to team members on technical matters, including focused product research and analysis when necessary.

·       Act as a thought leader for core technical competencies and provide direction across the team.

·       Assist in planning and designing technology solutions aligned with IT strategies to address business needs.

Required Qualifications for the Systems Engineer include:

·       Bachelor’s Degree in a related area or 8-10 years of experience in the field.

·       Eight (8) years of direct experience with Microsoft products, including Windows Server, Exchange Server, and Active Directory.

·       Hands on experience with Okta and M365

·       Experience with Software Development Lifecycle, Project Management Lifecycle, and IT Service Management processes.

Compensation for the Systems Engineer include:

· $48/hr - $58/hr **Depends on level of degree/combined years of experience**
