Paralegal (Hybrid - Greensboro, NC)

Piper Companies is actively searching for a detail-oriented Paralegal to join an industry leading manufacturing company offering a broad portfolio of well-known brands. The Paralegal will be responsible for supporting department attorneys, litigation and legal activities in a regulated environment. This is a hybrid role located in Greensboro, NC.

Responsibilities of the Paralegal:

• Draft/update vendor contracts, such as statements of work (SOW), confidentiality agreements, employment agreements & independent contractor agreements
• Review monthly status reports and other litigation memos and assist outside counsel with collecting company documents in response to discovery requests
• Maintain legal billing database, review bills and communicate with external vendors and law firms
• Prioritizes assignments and workload, and maintains Legal Department calendar to track key dates and events

Qualifications of the Paralegal:

• Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies with 3+ years related litigation and/or corporate paralegal experience or High School Diploma / GED with 7 years paralegal experience.
• Experience working in, or with clients in, a regulated environment such as FDA, USDA, EPA and DOI
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication
• Ability to plan, organize and manage projects and maintain effective working relationships
• Must be 21 years of age or older

Compensation for the Paralegal:

·      Salary: $28/hr - $32/hr based on experience
