Virology Analyst

Piper Companies is looking for a Virology Analyst to join a clinical biopharmaceuticals company located in Frederick, MD.

Responsibilities of the Virology Analyst include:

• Management of laboratory inventory (ex: consumables, regents, and equipment)
• Complete extractions regarding nucleic acids (ex: DNA or RNA)
• Deals with general care of cell lines using techniques like cell cultures
• Performs various types of testing/documentation (ex: virus characterization assays, research for cell banks)
• Preparation of cell pellets and virus stocks for both internal and external use
• Provide an understanding of TXNA policies and safety procedures
• Complete documentation while using ALCOA+ framework

Qualifications for the Virology Analyst include:

• Must possess an Associate's degree with 1 year of experience in a laboratory setting
• Must be able to work in BSL-2 laboratory and experience in TCID50 or plaque assays
• Preferred experience in virology techniques, aseptic techniques, and maintenance of cell cultures

Compensation for the Virology Analyst includes:

• Rate Range: $60,000 - $80,000 Per Year
