Accessibility Test Engineer

Piper Companies is looking for a Accessibility Test Engineer to work onsite 3 days per week in San Jose, CA starting on a 6 month contract with likelihood to extend. The ideal Accessibility Test Engineer has strong knowledge of section 508 and WCAG 2.1 standards with hands on experience testing web, windows desktop, mac desktop, iOS and android devices to help deliver an inclusive future for all.

Responsibilities for the Accessibility Test Engineer:

• Perform product testing to identify and improve accessibility issues for web, desktop and mobile devices
• Provide deep knowledge into regulation and how to apply it in software products
• Articulate technical issues, document and convey test results in a large strategic organization
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to deliver software solutions

Qualifications for the Accessibility Test Engineer:

• 5+ years' experience in accessibility testing to ensure compliance with Section 508 standards.
• Strong knowledge of accessibility design standards WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2
• Deep understanding of mobile accessibility for iOS and Android and desktop accessibility for Mac and Windows
• Must be a US Citizen and work onsite 3 days per wee in San Jose, CA
• Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field

Compensation/Benefits for the Accessibility Test Engineer:

• Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 annually
