Red Team Security Engineer

Piper Companies is hiring a several Red Team Security Engineers for a world wide technology organization. the Red Team Security Engineers will be working to build out a federal ops stack that allows for the companies offerings to be deployed easily to their customers. The Red Team Security Engineers can work REMOTE, but need to sit in and work EST or CST hours. The Red Team Security Engineers will need to be US Citizens.

Responsibilities for the Red Team Security Engineer:

• Define the business context, scope, and objectives of Red Team engagements to ensure they align with the organization’s goals
• Collect detailed information about targets, such as IP ranges, domain names, and employee details. Use frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK to model potential threats and evaluate associated risks
• Exploit vulnerabilities to gain initial access using techniques like social engineering, physical attacks, or exploiting external attack surfaces
• Establish persistence by setting up backdoors, creating new accounts, and using Command and Control (C2) frameworks
• Deliver comprehensive reports of findings, including executive summaries, detailed findings, control successes and failures, and recommendations for improvement

Requirements for the Red Team Security Engineer:

• Demonstrated expertise in Red Team operations and penetration testing
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and methodologies, including MITRE ATT&CK
• Proficiency in identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities using various attack techniques
• Experience with Command and Control (C2) frameworks and maintaining persistent access
• Capability to escalate privileges and navigate laterally within networks
• Expertise in data exfiltration techniques and thorough reporting of findings
• Strong communication skills for presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Preferred certifications include OSCP, CEH, or similar

Compensation for the Red Team Security Engineer:

• $120,000 - $200,000 - DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE (We have multiple roles available, so your technical depth of knowledge will be the determining factor)
