Software Security Architect

Piper Companies is seeking a Remote Software Security Architect to join a global financial services organization. The Software Security Architect will be responsible for the design of next-generation platforms, providing full-stack security architecture design, and influencing stakeholders to adopt best security standards.

Responsibilities of the Software Security Architect include:

• Oversee security aspects of Analytical Model Life Cycle, and influence stakeholders for adopting best security standards and implementations.
• Proof the security implementations within infrastructure & application deployment manifests and the CI/CD pipelines.
• Define required controls and capabilities for the protection of FICO products and environments and collaborate with architects, developers, and product managers, to implement security controls within products.
• Design, Implement and manage scalable security controls and automation in a DevOps environment within public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle) across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and container platforms.

Qualifications for the Software Security Architect include:                                                                        

• Experience in architecture, security reviews, and requirement definition for complex product environments
• Experience and understanding of FICO products
• Proficiency in threat modeling, code reviews, security testing, and vulnerability detection
• Hands-on experience with programming languages like Java and Python
• Knowledge of deploying and securing cloud environments, preferably AWS
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with security testing at scale and integrating security controls into workflows
• Familiarity with container technologies like EKS, K8S, and ISTIO
• Understanding of industry regulations and frameworks such as PCI, ISO 27001, NIST
• Ability to communicate complex architectural challenges to business and product management teams
• Drive transformational security projects across teams and organizations

Compensation for the Software Security Architect includes:

• Salary: $180,000 - $200,000
