GenAI Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a GenAI Engineer to join an IT Services and Consulting company in a fully remote role. The GenAI Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, deployment, and scaling of AI solutions and contributing to the strategy for the AI-driven innovations within the organization.

Responsibilities of the GenAI Engineer include:

• Lead and coordinate AI/ML projects by engaging with stakeholders to define objectives, track progress, and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Implement and fine-tune generative AI and ML models (e.g., GPT, BERT) with guidance from more specialized team members as needed.
• Act as the primary technical communicator and liaison for AI/ML initiatives, ensuring clarity and alignment between project stakeholders.
• Learn and adopt new AI techniques and tools as needed to expand solution capabilities, with opportunities for on-the-job training and mentorship.

Qualifications for the GenAI Engineer include:

• 5 years of engineering experience required. AI tool experience is preferred.
• Proven experience leading technical projects in a role that required collaboration with diverse stakeholders, ideally including clients, across various levels of technical understanding.
• Familiarity with generative AI and ML concepts (e.g., large language models, fine-tuning).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, of GCP).
• Track record of successful project delivery in a technical role, including timeline management, stakeholder coordination, and outcome measurement.
• Background in AI/NLP applications or other frameworks is beneficial but not essential.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, machine learning, AI or related field required.

Compensation for the GenAI Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000 annually.
• Tri-Annual Discretionary Bonus Program: Earn supplemental income based on individual growth and value delivered to our clients.
• Remote Work: Employees have the option to work from anywhere in the US. East coast business hours are required.
