Senior Linux Systems Administrator

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator for an Information technology government-contractor in San Diego, CA. The Senior Linux Systems Administrator will operate in technical and administrative support in all areas of the government’s technical program. 

Responsibilities for the Senior Linux Systems Administrator:

·      Develop and monitor an organization’s LAN/WAN and internet systems of a network

·      Ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability

·      Monitor and test web site performance

·      Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software

·      Administer network security measures

Qualifications for the Senior Linux Systems Administrator:

·      4-6+ years of system administration experience

·      Extensive Linux experience

·      Prior experience working with LAN/WAN and internet systems

·      Security+ Certification required

·      BA/S in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related field

Compensation/Benefits for the Senior Linux Systems Administrator:

·      Salary Range: $110,000 - $165,000 **depending on experience**
