New Product Introduction Engineer

Piper Companies is currently seeking a New Product Introduction Engineer to work on-site in Saratoga, CA five days per week. The ideal New Product Introduction Engineer must understand PIC microcontrollers and the PCB placement process, identify and resolve assembly issues, support hardware design, and have a strong manufacturing background.

Responsibilities of the New Product Introduction Engineer:

• Lead and manage new product introductions, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project milestones
• Ensure proper routing of electrical connections and verify the design to prevent errors
• Identify and resolve common assembly problems such as soldering defects, incorrect footprints, and thermal issues
• Work closely with the hardware design team to catch and fix issues before they reach production
• Ensure new products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements before market

Qualifications for the New Product Introduction Engineer:

• 10+ years' experience in product development and/or manufacturing
• Strong understanding of board systems and manufacturing processes
• Experience with PIC microcontrollers and PCB layout and design
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial)
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance

Compensation for the New Product Introduction Engineer:

• Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 annually.
