Piper Companies is seeking an experienced Thermal Simulation Engineer who has strong experience developing and executing thermal simulations on electro-mechanical and/or telecom products. The ideal Thermal Simulation Engineer must be willing to work on site 5 days per week in San Jose, CA.
Responsibilities of the Thermal Simulation Engineer include:
- Perform detailed thermal simulations using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA) tools to predict thermal performance and identify issues
- Develop and execute thermal testing plans to validate simulation resumes
- Investigate thermal-related failures and provide recommendations for design improvements
Requirements for the Thermal Simulation Engineer include:
- 3+ years' experience in thermal simulation and analysis, preferable in the hardware industry
- Proficient in CFD and FEA tools (ANSYS, COMSOL, etc)
- Proficient in FloTherm
- Hands on experience with thermal testing and measurement equipment
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Compensation for the Thermal Simulation Engineer include:
- Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 annually
