Onsite Network Engineer

Piper Companies is hiring a Network Engineer for a large enterprise company located in San Antonio, TX. The Network Engineer will be supporting the US DoD. The Network Engineer will need to work on-site in San Antonio, TX, Monday through Friday and is a long term contract opportunity.

Responsibilities for the Network Engineer:

• Work with 3rd party vendors to establish baselines, inventory and understand what is needed
• Design and deploy routing and switching solutions to support defense operations.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Implement network security measures to protect sensitive defense information.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other defense systems.
• Maintain documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.

Requirements for the Network Engineer:

• 5+ Years experience in as a Network Engineer
• Route/Switch experience - iOS XE, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree, iPv6
• iOSXR experience is a plus
• CCNA/CCNP is a plus
• No sponsorship available for this role

Compensation for the Network Engineer:

• $120,000 - $150,000
