Business Project Manager

Piper Companies is hiring a Business Project Manager for a small life insurance company located in Durham, NC. The Business Project Manager will be acting as an example of project excellence, a mentor and coach within the PMO team. The Business Project Manager will need to sit on site in Durham, NC 3 days per week. This role is not able to provide sponsorship.

Responsibilities of the Business Project Manager:

• Coordinate project activities across the organization to ensure successful business outcomes.
• Responsible for all aspects of the end-to-end project lifecycle: planning, definition, design, execution, and delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, budget, and key deliverables.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams to achieve project goals, providing direction, guidance, and support to team members.

Requirements of the Business Project Manager:

• Bachelors degree or higher is REQUIRED
• 2+ Years of experience as a Project Manager, managing multiple projects at a time
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Project management certification (e.g. PMP, CAPM, or similar) or equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus
• Ability to work on site 3 days per week in Durham, NC

Compensation for the Business Project Manager:

• $110,000 - $120,000
