Automation Engineer

Piper Companies is currently seeking an Automation Engineer based in Raleigh, North Carolina to work at an established CDMO. The Automation Specialist will be part of a newly formed team and will work on performing necessary documentation, and overseeing troubleshooting for a new facility build out/technical transfer.

Responsibilities of the Automation Engineer:

·      Responsible for providing automation operational support functions

·      Lead plant operations to assess and resolve non-conforming events, determine impact

·      Develop and deliver reports from reporting software

·      Provide technical support for all elements of computer-aided manufacturing

Qualifications of the Automation Engineer:

·      5 years experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing automation or validation and Bachelor’s in a relevant field; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

·      Knowledge of ISA standards/practices for instrumentation

·      Proficient in Delta V

·      Technical writing skills with reference to CSV

Compensation for the Automation Engineer:

• Salary Range: $45 - $48/hr
