Piper Companies is seeking a Business Development Director to join an innovative biologics manufacturing company. This is a remote opportunity. The Business Development Director will drive growth in North America, working closely with senior leadership and operations to develop winning strategies and meet ambitious sales targets.
Responsibilities of the Business Development Director include:
- Achieve regional sales targets by growing the biologics services business in North America through new client acquisition and expanding existing client relationships.
- Build and maintain strong internal relationships across various functions and align with subject matter experts for each account.
- Independently manage the selling, proposal, and contract negotiation processes.
- Represent the company at trade shows and contribute to key commercial strategies within the Global Business Development team.
- Ensure exemplary customer service and manage all aspects of customer relationships, including timely updates in Salesforce.com and monitoring KPIs.
Qualifications for the Business Development Director include:
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years, or Master’s/PhD with 7+ years, of life science industry experience, including 5 years in sales and territory management within CDMO biologics services.
- Excellent communication and strong relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies, manage multiple projects, and work well under pressure.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- MBA or PhD preferred, bachelor's degree required.
Compensation for the Business Development Director include:
- Salary Range: $175-225k
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
