Project Manager (Cerner)

Piper Companies is seeking a Project Manager (Cerner) to join a well-established health care company in Pennsylvania. This position is remote, but eastern standard working hours are required. The Project Manager will be responsible for driving the implementation of assigned application and EMR projects across a 6-hospital health system. Typical projects may include Cerner Millennium implementations/upgrades, new clinical applications and related integrations between the two.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

• Oversee execution, ensure alignment with organizational priorities, and provide executive-level reporting.
• Develop and manage the master project plan for assigned projects, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
• Lead coordination efforts across IT, business units, and external partners to ensure successful project execution.
• Develop agendas and content for executive steering committee meetings, ensuring leadership is engaged and informed.
• Provide routine status reporting to IT and business leadership, including risk assessments and progress updates.

Qualifications of the Project Manager:

• Experience leading EMR/clinical application initiatives in a healthcare environment. Cerner experience preferred. 
• Understanding of integration points between EMR and key applications such as ADT, Orders, Results and Billing.
• Strong project management skills, with experience managing large-scale, cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Expertise in vendor and partner management, ensuring successful collaboration and delivery.
• Proficiency in risk management, issue tracking, and executive-level reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive decision-making.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Continuity, or a related field is required (Master’s preferred).
• Industry certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.

Compensation for the Project Manager:

• Hourly Rate: $65-78/hour ***depending on experience***
