Piper Health & Sciences is seeking a dedicated and skilled Research Associate to join an innovative biotechnology organization in the RTP area. The Research Associate will be responsible for executing routine assays and cell culture activities.
Responsibilities of the Research Associate include:
· Perform cell culture activities (cell seeding, thawing, etc), flow cytometry and immunology assays
· Conduct ELISA assays for the detection of specific biomarkers or antibodies related to infectious diseases.
· Process and analyze experimental data, maintaining accurate and detailed records for subsequent analysis and reporting.
· Assist in laboratory upkeep and maintenance, including organizing supplies, equipment calibration, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
· Follow established laboratory SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and maintain a high standard of safety awareness.
Qualifications of the Research Associate includes:
· 1+ years of professional experience in a regulated laboratory setting (GMP, BSL2, BSL3, GLP)
· Experience with cell culture, rt-PCR, qPCR, and flow cytometry (preferred, not required)
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in science related field (Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, Biological Sciences, Microbiology, etc.)
Compensation for the Research Associate include:
· Salary Range: $22.00 - $27.00/ hourly, commensurate with experience
