Piper Companies is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join a well-established biotechnology organization in Durham, NC. The Administrative Assistant will ensure seamless execution of administrative tasks within the laboratory.

 

Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant:

·       Organize and coordinate company events, meetings, and conferences, including venue selection, catering, and logistics.

·       Maintain and manage schedules, appointments, and meetings for executives and staff to ensure optimal time management.

·       Coordinate and book travel accommodations, including flights, hotels, and transportation, while adhering to budgetary guidelines.

·       Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, handling correspondence, and managing office supplies.

·       Act as a liaison between departments, ensuring clear communication and timely follow-ups on action items.

·       Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications of the Administrative Assistant:

·       1+ years of professional experience working as an Administrative Assistant

·       Experience with planning corporate events, calendar management, and communicating with vendors

·       Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

·       Associates degree in related field

 

Compensation of the Administrative Assistant:

·       Salary: Between $22.00 - $25.00/hr based on years of experience

·       Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision (through Cigna), 401k, Sick leave as required by law
