Accessibility Engineer

Piper Companies is looking for a Accessibility Engineer to work hybrid in Dallas, TX starting on a 12 month contract with likelihood to extend. The ideal Accessibility Engineer has strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 standards with hands on experience testing web, windows desktop, mac desktop, iOS and android devices to help deliver an inclusive future for all.

Responsibilities for the Accessibility Engineer:

• Perform product testing to identify and improve accessibility issues for web, desktop and mobile devices
• Provide deep knowledge into regulation and how to apply it in software products
• Articulate technical issues, document and convey test results in a large strategic organization
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to deliver software solutions

Qualifications for the Accessibility Engineer:

• 5+ years' experience in Hands on expertise using modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue)
• Experience testing for accessibility in web and mobile experiences
• Strong knowledge of accessibility design standards WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2
• Deep understanding of mobile accessibility for iOS and Android and desktop accessibility for Mac and Windows

Compensation/Benefits for the Accessibility Engineer:

• Salary Range: $50-65 hourly
