Head of Global Data Partnerships (RWD)

Piper Companies is seeking a Global Head, Data Partnerships to join the global data acquisition team of a global biopharmaceutical company focused on neurology and immunology. This role involves identifying, negotiating, prioritizing, and onboarding external data assets to support the development and commercialization of early biopharmaceutical assets. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of current and new real world data vendor sources and expert-level proficiency in pharmaceutical data sources.

The global data acquisition team aims to improve the data acquisition strategy and meet the data needs of various therapeutic areas and patient populations. The team focuses on sourcing high-quality healthcare data and implementing scalable data platforms.

Responsibilities of the Global Head, Data Partnerships:

·      Lead a team of data specialists in identifying and acquiring valuable data assets

·      Ensure alignment of data acquisitions with UCB's strategic objectives

·      Maintain close relationships with external healthcare data providers

·      Conduct landscape scanning to stay updated on the global healthcare data ecosystem

·      Evaluate data providers through RFI/RFP processes

·      Partner with IT, Data Office, and external partners to ensure data accessibility

·      Manage and communicate data provider offerings to the Data Acquisition Strategy Team

Qualifications of the Global Head, Data Partnerships:

·       Bachelor's degree required; Master's/Doctorate in a quantitative area preferred

·       7+ years of experience with pharmaceutical data

·       4+ years of experience partnering with internal and external stakeholders

·       2+ years of experience in quantitative data evaluation

·       Expertise in healthcare and real-world data, particularly patient-level claims data and HCP level data, both US and ex-US

Compensation of the Global Head, Data Partnerships:

• Base salary range of $190,000/year - $230,000/year based on experience
• Annual bonus and internal equity benefits
