Piper Companies is seeking an IT Project Manager (Disaster Recovery) to join an established healthcare network in Pennsylvania. The role is remote and it a 12 month contract opportunity with potential to extend or convert.


Responsibilities of the DR Project Manager include:

  • Overseeing the creation and management of the comprehensive project plan for the Disaster Recovery program, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are achieved.
  • Leading collaborative efforts across IT, business units, and external partners to guarantee the successful execution of the program.
  • Monitoring and managing issues, risks, dependencies, and escalations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Acting as the main point of contact with the external partner responsible for DR assessment, solution design, and implementation.
  • Delivering regular status reports to IT and business leadership, including risk evaluations and progress updates.

Qualifications of the DR Project Manager include:

  • Experience leading IT disaster recovery or business continuity programs in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing large-scale, cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • Expertise in vendor and partner management.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and NIST frameworks related to disaster recovery.
  • Proficiency in risk management, issue tracking, and executive-level reporting.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CBCP, CISM, PMP) are a plus.

Compensation for the DR Project Manager include:

  • Rate: $65-$78 an hour, depending on experience
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law
