Cerner Integration Consultant

Piper Companies is searching for a Cerner Integration Consultant to support a short-term engagement (approx. 100 hours over 4-6 weeks) focused on implementing and optimizing API-based integration between their platform and a client’s Cerner EMR environment. This role is ideal for a technically hands-on consultant who can advise, configure, and troubleshoot across the full lifecycle of an EMR integration.

Responsibilities:

• Support the configuration of custom Cerner API calls using the MPages framework, CCL (Cerner Command Language), and FHIR
• Guide client-side teams on how to implement and test integration points. (may include advisory or hands-on support)
• Troubleshoot environment-level issues such as login restrictions, visibility gaps, or incomplete API responses
• Work with internal and client-side technical leads to resolve blockers and support a delayed go-live
• Create reusable integration documentation to streamline future Cerner client implementations

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with Cerner Millennium, including hands-on CCL scripting, MPages customization, and PowerChart familiarity
• Strong knowledge of Cerner APIs, including FHIR and related data exchange models
• Experience supporting EMR integrations in healthcare environments
• Comfortable working independently and navigating client-facing projects
