Piper Enterprise Solutions is looking for a Designer (Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing) (Non-Exempt) who will be involved with delivering comprehensive design and engineering solutions for building and utility infrastructure projects, covering mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. This role is hybrid in Baltimore, MD.
Requirements of the Designer:
- Under close supervision, supports engineers by handling routine engineering tasks, helping to familiarize with company programs, staff, and procedures.
- Conducts design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons, and other technical work as needed.
- Coordinates project tasks with other engineers and technicians in the discipline group. Reviews drawings from vendors, clients, engineers, and architects, suggesting necessary modifications.
- Investigates code issues and collaborates with city, state, and county officials. Explores design options and documents findings for Project Engineers or Project Managers.
- Assists with additional duties assigned by Engineers or Project Managers. May participate in "kick-off" and design review meetings, and engage with clients as experience grows.
Qualifications of the Designer:
- 3-5+ years of systems design experience.
- Experience with design of low voltage systems.
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office software.
- BSME/BSEE/BSAE from an ABET-accredited school preferred but not mandatory.
- EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) preferred but not mandatory.
- Bachelors in engineering and/or an MBA is required.
Compensation of the Designer:
- Salary Range: $70,000-$100,000 *based on experience*
